The tension has risen to amazing new heights, and not the tension you feel when you recognize that dreaded ex boyfriend that you have not seen for years. NO! A good tension and maybe there is no such thing but for me "Oh" it is. The delightful tension when you curl your toes because you are excited, or when you are on your way to pick up a cute puppy out of a litter. A tension of amazement, a tension to have a "Midnight in Paris." What can I say? I am a journalist, will be a traveler, and forever a dreamer.
It is a place to get lost (sort of speak) and tomorrow I will be hopping a board a long flight. A great flight that will help me on my french, read a little book, maybe watch the movie "Midnight in Paris" (again), and of course take a power nap. *Side Note: I am sending out a prayer request in the middle of this message because I hope that one group member makes it on this adventure. She has misplaced her passport, arrives at LAX at 3:45, still has to pick up luggage to make it to our gate in time for 5:55 Departure. We would have to leave if she does not make it in time. =[ God Hear Our Prayers!

Let's see it's been crazy, Thursday and Friday consisted of packing to leave from my dorm. Friday and yesterday was all about the unpacking of my stuff from dorm to my room back home. Now, it's all about packing for Europe. But, really what is there to complain about? It's Europe for peat sake, and who cares about the tiredness from this semester? I will nap on the plane, and gain a little knowledge for my travels by reading my Europe book. I am super excited to taste the yummy crepes in Paris and sit where Hemingway wrote "the sun also rises."
Stay tuned... The last days of finals are ahead of me and will be tomorrow. Then, comes the joyous part of packing for a long awaited trip. A trip of a lifetime, and a place that I will never forget. I am traveling to Europe and you can travel along with me. I will be blogging from country to country over a period of 17 days in Europe. England, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Monaco. The Queen will be present during the month of June and hopefully we will get to see her.
Some hotels I will be staying at: Youth hostel in Switzerland Youth hostel in Lucerne Youth hostel in Paris Youth hostel in London Youth hostel in Nice Finally, it has come to a time with the dreading days of finals around the corner but the reluctant feeling of summer at your feet as well. As I sit here in the coffee cafe at my university; I think about all the decisions I have to make in the next couple of weeks. No, it is not time to graduate, yet that is. Although, I have to make the decision about if I want to make money this summer or receive academic credit through an internship. This 10 page packet of criteria that I must read in order to make sure my internship qualifies is not persuading me towards interning. If I delay then, I will be left with procrastination in my Senior year and a dreading feeling that I will not finish in time. So, at the end of writing this blog, I thought it be nice if I gave you some links for internships.
*Important thing to note is to make sure your internship meets the standards of your university and DO NOT DELAY. Tips for finding internship (Before you look on your own)

Sorry for the long delayed and awaited posts. Of course, I will repeat from last time and say I have been a busy little bee because truth is, I have. Thanks to God for presenting his son as a sacrifice of atonement, Our Savior "Jesus Christ." We all were able to recognize this moment this past Sunday. It is great to be able to celebrate him but honestly the break was a great add-on. =] Hence, the ability to give you a little read for today. Maybe, if I just had a couple more arms to do it all or a couple more of ME! Realistically, that does not happen and I need to be brought down to earth. Well, a trip to Europe will do me some wonders. I thought I post a link to the online publication HugStronger I now write for and see if the tips could help you out. Hope you find my blogs that I have written for college students. =] Here is a recap of some of the things I missed on posting. Top 5 latest (missed) happenings:

My first post will be up in running on Wednesday, sorry you will have to wait to see what it is about ;]. The other exciting news is that I might become a leader for PRSSA for next year. Wish me Luck! I will also be writing some more features stories for my college paper. =]
I dare you to get involved. You may be scared at first but seriously the worst they can say is no. Trust me the reality is you may get some negative answers but Do not give up! There will be more yes answers out there as long as you show your dedication. Do not beg either but just show your talents in your work ethic. Hope this helps. This is a video I made to give tribute to Whitney Houston and her family. May she rest in peace and God Bless her. She was a great singer and now she will remain one in our hearts.
** Images are provided from Google images and music is all from music clips of Whitney Houston. Letter to my Family & Friends. Dear Family & Friends,
As you may know I am attending Biola University and plan on obtaining my B.A. in Journalism. I have been writing articles for the Chimes my school newspaper, recently the fourth was published on the front page =]. I am honored to write for the Chimes and glad to mention we have been chosen as a finalist for the Associated Collegiate Press Pacemaker award for 2011. A once in a lifetime opportunity I feel God has placed at my feet. I feel this is one of those things that you feel in your heart is meant for you. The opportunity has arisen to travel to Europe and explore a culture that journalists dream of, everyone dreams of. I have only this to ask of your help, can you please help to contribute? My passion is to write and to take a trip that open to your eyes to multimedia is awesome! Don’t worry this is not just for fun, it is also a learning experience. This awesome ONCE IN A LIFETIME experience will be counted as a 2-unit course for a letter grade. The students who attend this trip will be documenting the travel experience, which is how we will earn our grade. Family & Friends you can see where I will be visiting and what I will be doing. How? I will be creating my own web page that will have photos, videos, and I will be blogging my experience. All of you will be able to see all my posts, and I will provide you with the link “We Can Travel Together.” This is something I know I need help on and would love if you could help. If you can’t I understand, your support and prayers are enough. Please consider helping to contribute, a million times thank you for just listening. |
